A batting helmet is key in baseball. It protects your head and face from injury and gives you a safe feeling that can't be matched.

Basic Features of Baseball Batting Helmets

We carry several brands of baseball batting helmets, and they are as protective as anything. They are the same ones used in both the Little League World Series and the College World Series.

Helmet Sizes

The different sizes include junior, senior, XL, or one size fits most.

Easton helmets come in three sizes:

Junior 6-1/2" to 7-1/8"

Senior 7-1/8" to 7-1/2"

XL 7-1/2" to 8"

For in-between sizes, Easton makes an extra padding called a fit kit.


Marucci helmets come in two sizes:

Junior 6-1/2" to 7-1/8"

Senior 7-1/8" to 7-1/2"

Rawlings helmets are available in:

Junior 6-3/8" to 7-1/8"

Senior 6-7/8" to 7-5/8"

All three manufacturers also offer helmets with jaw guard extensions for additional face protection.

Good Baseball Helmets

These helmets are great for first-year or rec players that are maybe only playing weekends and just need something to get by. It is the shiny style and does not have the grip finish to it, but the inside is the same as the "best" level helmets, so it protects you just as well.

Good Adult Baseball Helmets

Better Baseball Helmets

These helmets have the same inside as the shiny series but are flashier and have more color options. They have a new style finish called "Grip," which has a matte look to it. There is no doubt it looks a lot nicer, and if you are playing on a travel team and they want everyone's helmets to match, this would be the way to go.

Best Baseball Helmets

These helmets are for your serious travel ball, high school, or club team player. Like I have been hammering home, the inside of these is the same as the "good" level helmets, but the truth is the two-tone style simply looks the best, and kids really like the look of it. A lot of teams like to match and as the saying goes, "Look good, feel good, and you will play good."

These helmets are for your serious travel ball, high school, or club team player as well. These helmets have a safe and trendy feature -- a jaw extender. They are available for right- and left-hand batters. These helmets have high-impact padding for protection and comfort. The jaw extender can also be removed.
