Bat Bag Buyer's Guide

A Bat Bag gives you the ability to carry your equipment a lot easier, smarter, and more efficiently. There are many different bat bags out there: bigger, smaller, wheels, no wheels, backpack or regular bag.

Basic Features of Bat Bags

  • With the many different types of bags available, choosing one can largely depend on what position you play and how much stuff you carry.
  • Bags with wheels are a good choice for a catcher.
  • If you are considering a bag with wheels, know that there are two different types: inline wheels and tank wheels.
  • Rails on the bottom are great because they can prevent premature tearing and ripping if you are carrying a lot of stuff.
  • Think about how much stuff you carry. You want a bag that will potentially hold your bats, helmet, glove, batting gloves, cleats, balls, and maybe even some extra clothing.

    Choosing the Right Bat Bag

It may seem a little complicated, so we've decided to make it real simple. We have spilt our bags up into five categories: Beginner, Good, Better, Best and Professional level. Beginner and Good are bags that are more youth oriented, and Better, Best and Professional are geared more toward adults.
Just click the heading below for the category of bag that best fits your needs!

      Beginner Bat Bags

-- This level of bag is for somebody who is just starting off, and Mom and Dad don't want to spend too much money. But just because it's for a beginner doesn't mean the quality is below average. These are durable, high quality bags that will hold your young baseball/softball player's equipment with ease.

      Good Bat Bags

-- The backpack style has taken over in recent years because these bags have a reduced size that is great for youth players. They will hold a helmet, glove and balls, with the bats hanging from the sides. Perfect for your serious Rec Player.

      Better Bat Bags

-- Backpack or wheeled? Regardless of your preference, you don't have to sacrifice quality or space with any of these bags. Not as big as catcher's bags, but big enough for most players' gear, these bags are perfect for travelling ball players looking for durability and carrying capacity without a huge price tag.

      Best Bat Bags

-- These bags are for players who carry lots of gear -- bats, helmet, balls, a couple different gloves, maybe some training items... carry it all in one of these bags with ease! These bags are for very serious travel ball players who are looking for nothing less than a top quality bag to protect their gear.

      Professional Bat Bags

-- These are the Cadillacs of bat bags, for players who are only satisfied having the best of the best. Have a LOT of equipment? Look no further. These bags will carry it all in style!

At Closeout Bats we stock what we sell! We have a huge warehouse and are NOT drop shipping bats like many web sites. We update inventory and availability on the Web site several times a day as inventory positions change shipping hundreds and hundeds of bats. We also sell bats out of our physical store, so sometimes things sell out before we can get them off the Web site.

Limited quantities available. Prices subject to change without notice. Like we say, if it's on the site, it's in the warehouse -- just SOMETIMES it might have some other player's name on it! If you snooze, you lose, so ORDER YOURS NOW!
