Easton Z-Core XL 2-5/8" BBCOR Bat -3oz (2016)
MAD MAX says:
This is another series from Easton called Z-CORE HMX. The Z-CORE HMX is an all-alloy bat. This is for the kid that likes the feel of the one-piece technology in their hands. A lot of kids last year liked that one-piece bat. There were two bats that were very popular last year the: CAT6 and the Velo. This new bat will compete with those bats. Easton made this bat in an end-loaded model and balanced. This one is the end-loaded model and already I can tell this will be a great one as well. Easton had a bat in 2013 called the XL3 and this bat replaces that model. This bat is for an older, stronger kid, like a junior or senior in high school that has the power to flat out swing a man's bat. The XL model will have a more end-loaded feel so you need to make sure you can handle it. This bat is a -3, which means if it is 32 inches it will be 29 ounces, and as we go up in inches we go up in ounces. Great bat bringing back a fan favorite in the XL.

BBCOR Certified Baseball Bat
The BBCOR formula provides a better measure of the bat's performance and therefore allows the rules committee and bat testing laboratories to better predict field performance based on lab tests. The goal is that non-wood bats that meet this new standard will perform similarly to wood bats. All BBCOR bats will incorporate a logo mark once certification approval is granted. This mark will be consistent across every approved bat design so umpires will easily identify approved bats.
